A common heirloom spinach. 
 
Plant into rich and well-draining soil, in semi-shade to full sun.
Spinach will do best planted in Autumn, Winter, and early Spring.
 
Young plants may be damaged by frosts in winter and bolt in summer heat.
 
Water well for the first few days after planting, and then as needed. Plants will require more water during dry periods.
